| Having hep c has been a gift that has brought more healing, more love, and more aliveness to my life. I have learned that to bring an end to pain and suffering, pain and suffering must be fully embraced and then let go. The best thing I think that I got was an even greater sense of humor. I laugh a lot more than I used to and how much I truly cherish the moments that I have with all people. |

My name is Jim, I am 44 years old, Married to my Soul Mate Vila, for
22 years, I am a Vietnam era Veteran and live in Grants Pass, Oregon. I
have had HCV for 26 years, received it in the service and I am beyond
treatment. My liver and spleen are enlarged at 3 times there normal size and
push up on my diaphragm. I have a hard time just breathing. Scares me
because it feels like I am suffocating. I have been bedridden for over a
year now. I have disintegrating disk disease as well as HCV. My back is
really messed up, already have had one surgery on it they want to operate on
it again, but my platelets are so low they I am at risk of bleeding out,
